On September 10, at the Hanoi International Exhibition Center (ICE), the 6th Vietnam - Japan Supporting Industry Exhibition in Hanoi (SIE 2015), the 7th International Exhibition on Machinery and Technology for Manufacturing and Supporting Industries (VME 2015) and Vietnam Supporting Industry Products Exhibition 2015 (ICS 2015) were officially opened.
The exhibition had the participation of 57 enterprises (DN) producing spare parts and components from Japan and 44 Vietnamese manufacturing enterprises participating in the display and introduction of products. The focus of this year's exhibition is the participation of a number of enterprises in the plastic injection and mold manufacturing industries.
The exhibition is organized by the Hanoi People's Committee in collaboration with the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the Japan Trade Promotion Organization (JETRO), the Hanoi Trade and Tourism Investment Promotion Center and the Reed Tradex Company (Thailand) organized.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade highly appreciated the efforts of the Organizing Committee, especially JETRO in preparing for the exhibition with the active participation of the exhibitors. DN.
Deputy Minister Hoang Quoc Vuong affirmed: “Three exhibition events held at the same time today in Hanoi will be an effective bridge to help Vietnam and international countries operating in the supporting industry for women and children. spare parts and components for automobile, motorcycle and electronic industries have the opportunity to meet, trade, cooperate in business and invest for a long time. This is also an opportunity to promote Vietnam's development in the industrial sector to create competitive and high-value-added export products and promote the development of the domestic market."
Mr. Soichi Yoshimura, Executive Vice President of JETRO shared, for the past seven years, JETRO has continuously held annual and rotating exhibitions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The objective of the exhibition is to continue to support the development of Vietnam's supporting industry and promote business connections between potential Vietnamese parts suppliers and Japanese manufacturers.
Also at the exhibition, in order to find the best welders, the Vietnam - Germany Training and Technology Transfer Center (HWC) and Reed Tradex Company jointly organized the "Electronic Hand Welding Contest" with the aim to promote dance for welders, as well as improve skills for workers. The two units also organize "Advanced Engineer Class" with the goal of promoting and strengthening the expertise of engineers with specialized knowledge.
Besides, in order to create more networking opportunities between businesses, the Organizing Committee has built a program "Connecting businesses" right at the exhibition to help provide the necessary elements for the competition of enterprises. And within the framework of SIE 2015, the program "Business Connection Day" will be held on September 11 to strengthen the cooperation relationship between Japanese manufacturers and Vietnamese parts manufacturers. Mr. Katsuro Nagai, Economic Ambassador - Japanese Embassy in Vietnam said: “Promoting supporting industries is considered one of the top priorities of the Vietnamese Government. Currently, there are about 1,500 Japanese enterprises operating in Vietnam. Although nearly half of them are in the manufacturing sector, the proportion of localized products that these Japanese companies purchase is only 33%. In addition, most of these domestic products are provided by Japanese enterprises in Vietnam. This shows that trade between Vietnamese and Japanese enterprises is still very limited and needs to be developed.
